Morning {{first_name}},
Today Mevo came to me. They wanted a full brand identity for their fintech. Risk-takers. Small business owners. People who want something simple, reliable, and fast.
At first, I was stuck. I was trying to make logos, ideas, anything but everything just blended into Monzo, Revolut, Starling. Nothing felt original.
Then I stepped back and thought: What moves? Cash moves from one person to another. People move. Businesses move.
then I started to think about waves. They move. And then it clicked Two waves, side by side, forming an M. Mevo. Movement. Flow. Simplicity.
Everything that felt complicated before suddenly had direction. The brief, the market, the meaning of the name it all made sense.
What this reminded me:
Inspiration often comes from stepping back and connecting the dots only you can see.
Build for the people who actually need it risk-takers, doers, small business owners.
Simplicity is powerful. Complexity might impress no one but yourself.
Mevo isn’t just a logo or a name. It’s movement, it’s flow, it’s something that carries people forward. And the best ideas always come when you stop trying to copy and start paying attention.
Here is what the final logo looked like, I’ll be sharing more on this project soon.
