Good Morning {{first_name}}

My grandad has a routine that’s always inspired me. Every day, he wakes up at 7 AM and drives his taxi. He could stay home, take it easy, or even travel but he chooses to keep busy. Watching that taught me to create my own routine which works for me and has a balance between working hard and also spending time with the people i care about

On some Saturdays, I try to follow my own version. I wake at 6:20 AM, everything ready from the night before, and step outside at 6:30. The first thing I do is check if grandad’s car is still there. When I see it still parked outside, I know I’m starting my day while everyone else is still dreaming away, and it makes me feel proud.

From there, I walk to the gym and have a session to wake up my body. After the gym, I sit on the field and read aloud. I do this so I can improve how I speak, pronounce words, and feel confident while actually storing the information i learn instead of just skimming.

After reading, I head home for breakfast and then start work. I make sure to take short breaks between tasks so I’m not constantly working, but actually enjoying the day. I also spend time with my younger brother doing things he likes we play games, colour, and talk, and he’s like my best mate. This not only helps me relax but also makes sure he has a great time.

This is what I try to do whenever I can on a Saturday. But, of course, it doesn’t always go to plan.

Take today for example: in my head, I expected to spend about an hour with my dad, but we ended up spending roughly 4–5 hours together. Was it longer than I expected? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Instead of skipping the gym completely, I decided to get dad to drive me so I could save time. That way, I still had quality time with him and enough time to get work done. Adapting like this small changes, keeping momentum makes everything flow, like shifting gears smoothly instead of slamming the brakes.

It’s not about copying anyone. My routine works for me but yours can be different. Waking at 8 could be perfect for you. The point is being as consistent as possible. Find what works, notice what doesn’t, and adjust along the way. That’s the skill most people don’t have.

So here’s something to think about:

Is your current routine balanced, do you work too much and get no time with your family? or do you work too less?.

You should spend time this Sunday and adapt your routine slowly. see what works maybe waking up at 10am isn’t working so try wake up earlier

Treat your day like a road you might hit bumps, take a detour, or spend more time than expected on one thing, but noticing what matters and adjusting as you go keeps the ride smooth.
